We believe support is an important component of the care and recovery of patients and their families. Several public programs have been made available to support individuals throughout all aspects of their hospitalized experience.

Designed by edgearch as a prototype project for the Specialist Medical Centers development programme of the Ministry of Health of Saudi Arabia, the Trauma facility building has been designed to achieve national benchmarks in quality care, offering support of the traumatically injured patient in the field with Emergency Medical Services personnel.

As Level I Trauma Center, the facility has to provide a comprehensive regional resource that is a tertiary care facility central to the trauma system, capable of providing total care for every aspect of injury – from prevention through rehabilitation including advanced trauma life support (ATLS), evaluation, stabilization, and diagnostic capabilities for injured patients. It should maintain a surgically directed critical care service including 24-hour pre and post anesthesia services, an operating room available within 15 minutes, radiology, ICU team coverage, a full spectrum of surgical specialists, medical consultants, support services, 24-hour laboratory services and an adequate blood supply, medical social workers available 24 hours and advanced practitioners.
